On or near July 4th, the cool waters of Lake Blue Ridge come alive for Independence Day, with a fireworks show you won't soon forget. The Armed Forces Day ceremony is to honor and remember the men and women who are bound by oath and duty to serve and protect the United States of America. Visitors can view the parade from areas around the marina. Tater Hill in McCaysville- Copperhill will be the site of a historic fireworks display on Independence Day. Hard decisions had to be made and steps were put in place to help make a big difference in the financial stability of The Art Center and, ultimately, to the tourism economy of this mountain community. The association hosts events throughout the year, which invite residents and visitors to learn more about arts in the area.
